After our last website being hacked please do have a look at our brand new revamp of our new website. The plan ( New Year resolution if you will) is to keep this up to date and current so please do leave me messages and as always I will endeavour to keep on top of it.
As we are a couple of days into 2019 I also thought I would take this opportunity to make a round up of the last year and the exciting things we got up to.
Last year we had a busy year with markets and festivals which included participating with Food NI in St Patrick’s week at Borough Market, London, in May we participated in the Garden Show Ireland in Antrim and Balmoral Show near Lisburn. We attended the Irish Game Fair and Moira Food Festival before the autumn and winter came upon us with the Armagh Food and Cider Festival and Armagh Georgian Day finishing with the Gifted Fair in the RDS in Dublin and of course our own Waringstown Christmas Market finishing off another busy year.
Harnett’s Oils was also very privileged to have a received a number of awards this year with winning the Sustainability award in the Food Awards for our ‘green’ credentials. We also had three of our flavoured rapeseed oils in the final of Blas na hEireann a great accolade indeed and our Harnett’s Chilli and Garlic Rapeseed Oil won Bronze. In the summer we were also shortlisted in the Made in Ireland Awards a lovely recognition to be included.
In September we also planted the oilseed rape across the farm which is growing slowly to be in ready for harvest in August 2019.
